Each course aims to develop the skills necessary for professional competence at that level in a variety of locations and with different types of stone.

To obtain the maximum benefit and a successful outcome will require time and commitment, including practising in your own time between formal sessions.

The Level 2 trainees are expected to be either full time working wallers or using their skills for a substantial part of their work.

Training will be carried out at a range of venues throughout the Peak District:

• in the field on limestone or gritstone sites
• at the National Stone Centre, Wirksworth, Derbyshire.

This programme is based on the Dry Stone Walling Association’s Craftsman Certification Scheme and is accredited by Lantra Awards at Level 1, 2 & 3 and is a nationally recognised qualification.
